2008 Grand Auction

Raise your paddle!

Our largest single fundraising event, the Grand Auction, features both a live and silent auction. As guests arrive at 5 pm, they’ll greeted with their favorite cocktails and passed hors d’eouvres. Just to get things warmed up, our silent auction features more than 70 items, including hand-made jewelry, original artwork, large-format wines, wine tastings in the Brushmark Restaurant, and much more.
 
At 6:30 pm, guests will move out to the tent on the plaza for tapas, an open bar, wines, music, and more than 60 live lots, auctioned by Ben Ferdinand of Hart Davis
Hart Wine Co. Included in this auction are the highlights of The Art of Good Taste season:
 
  • -2008 Acura MDX, fully equipped with leather, navigation system, XM radio,
  • DVD players, third-row seat, and more.

  • -Trips to Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and the Central Coast, all featuring
  • airfare and private tours and tastings at some of the country’s finest vineyards.

  • -An exclusive trip to New York, featuring dinner at Alto Restaurant.

  • -Original artworks by such artists as Pam Cobb, Mary Long-Postal, Thomas Arvid, Stephanie Eggleston Harrover, and Jon Lee.

  • -The Black and Cassidy Mega Tasting featuring dinner by chef Felicia Willett and more than 20 vintages of Chateau la Mission.

  • -And, the season’s climax – a jetsetter’s evening in New Orleans!
  • Pinnacle Airlines Corp. has agreed to fly 40 people to the bayou and back for an exclusive wine dinner with chef John Besh at Restaurant August.
