Volunteer Job Descriptions


Greeters    
  • -Greet patrons upon arrival
  • -Direct to check-in tables

Check-In
  • -Monitor reservation list
  • -Assign bid numbers
  • -Direct sponsors to sponsor check-in
  • -Hand out auction catalogues

Check-Out
  • -Locate bidders’ purchased items
  • -Carry items to car if necessary
  • -Take bid numbers

Silent Auction
  • -Assist silent auction chairman with bid sheets, pens, etc.
  • -Patrol silent auction area to watch tables, assist bidders, and
  • add new bid sheets as needed
  • -Assist with staggered closing of silent auction tables

Item Transport
  • -Transport auction items from silent auction tables to check out
  • -Transport live auction items from tent to check-out area
  • -Carry items to car, if necessary

Live Auction Runners
  • -Identify successful bidders
  • -Deliver bid forms to check out
  • -Deliver items sold to check out area

Live Auction Spotters
  • -Assist auctioneer with identifying bidders during the auction
  • -Answer bidders questions during auction

Sales and Information
  • -Sell logowear and Brooks memberships
  • -Oversee on-site tickets sales
  • -Answer attendee questions
