Christopher Klingenstein 

Christopher has an extensive and diverse background, with a total of 15 years experience in the restaurant and wine industry. Before moving to Chicago he worked in a number of prestigious restaurants on the East Coast, including the renowned 21 Federal in Nantucket. Upon moving to Chicago he worked with Pacific Wine and Spirits for three years serving to key account restaurants. He has held various sommelier positions in the area, including Head Sommelier at the Hotel Inter-Continental as well as captain at the four-star Trio Restaurant in Evanston, with award-winning chef Grant Achatz. Chris joined John Hart Fine Wine in 2002 and continued to be an integral part of the growing team with the founding of Hart Davis Hart Wine Co shortly thereafter; consulting on both the highly successful retail and auction sides of the business he has had extensive experience with finest and rarest wines of the world. He is currently managing Partner for Domaine Wine Storage & Appreciation in Chicago and also works closely with their parent company; Cellar Advisors. While he has a deep passion and expertise for the history of California wines; studying through the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, the Rhone Valley and Burgundy are other continuing interests. When not enjoying a great bottle Cote Rotie, he can either be found on the golf course honing his skills or spending time with his family and son Brooks. Chris serves on the auxiliary board for the Shedd Aquarium and donates him time and gavel to numerous charities throughout the country.
